The 8K Association is a world wide group focused on the 8K, recently announced updates for forthcoming 8K TVs that are already starting to appear soon 8k devices.
These include depth, chroma sub-sampling), frame rates, resolution, brightness, black level, colour gamut plus media formats, technical specifications for new HDMI 2.1 with a resolution to 7,680 x 4,320 (or 33 million) pixels, which is four times that of the 4K Ultra HD current standard, has input frame rates of 24p, 30p, and 60p FPS and better luminance 600+ nits and new performance levels for HDR and colour.
A new compliance test will be implemented land logo certification. Displays will need to meet new test parameters to be able to use the official 8K logo. The 8K Association is a global and currently has 16 members spanning display manufacturers — including Hisense, Panasonic, Samsung, and TCL plus other Technology providers and in recent months membership has doubled.
